The Fairhaven Bicentennial Committee gratefully acknowledges the financial support of the United Way of Greater New Bedford and the Fairhaven Cultural Council.
Four of Fairhaven's Bicentennial events - the Incorporation Ceremony, Maritime Day, the Grand Bicentennial Parade,and the Good Ol' Family Fun Day - were funded in part by the United Way of Greater New Bedford Community Building Mini-Grants Program.
The participation of Connecticut Valley Field Music in Fairhaven's Grand Bicentennial Parade was sponsored in part by a grant from the Fairhaven Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.

Town of Fairhaven, MA, was incorporated on February 22, 1812, having
previously been a part of New Bedford. |
The
Bicentennial Committee meets on the third Saturday of each month
at 9:00 am, usually in the Town Hall conference room. Meetings
will be posted at the entrance of the Town Hall, on public television,
and on www.Fairhaven200.org. Everyone is welcome to attend these meetings, either as a guest or as an appointed member. We are always looking for new members to help us plan our town’s 200th birthday. |

Volunteer Opportunities for SubcommitteesThe following subcommittees will be planning activities for the town bicentennial. Anyone interested in serving on a subcommittee may contact either the subcommittee chairs or one of the Bicentennial Committee members.
